Laboratory Black Hole?!

There's some evidence that a mini black hole was created in a particle collision experiment (popular article, technical article). This is way cool!!!

Such a tiny black hole as may have been created is not dangerous. It's super small, with negligible gravity, and evaporates via Hawking radiation before it can grow. What was really observed, perhaps, was the radiation from such an evaporation immediately following a high-energy particle collision.
