A new large TNO or Trans-Neptunian Object has been discovered in the Kuiper Belt. It's probably about 70% the size of Pluto, and has its own moon. It should have been found decades ago, but wasn't. People have been fighting over whether to keep Pluto listed as a planet for the last few years, and it will probably stay that way for historical reasons, but if we discover something out there larger than Pluto, which is very possible, we may well demote Pluto rather than add more Kuiper Belt objects.
