The North Star

There will be lots of astronomy in the news this week as it is the American Astronomical Society's big annual winter meeting (Washington D.C. this year). Since I'll be lecturing later this week about Polaris, the north star, I thought I'd point out this interesting story about how Polaris is actually, apparently, part of a triple system according to new Hubble observations. Who said Hubble was obsolete?!
